I saw this short film quite a few years ago when a friend of mine – Elliot, bought a OneDotZero DVD. I was not able to watch this short film again until recently when Varvara won every OneDotZero DVD they have ever made. It still amazes me as much today as it did when i first watched it 3 or 4 years ago.
(thanks to shape+colour for sharing the video they found on the internet, allowing everyone to watch this amazing film)
If your not already, keep your eye on Tobias’ blog, he has just started to build his Patachronic Clock. This should be amazing, and interesting to watch him build.
So Varvara and myself haven’t posted anything on here for ages, sorry, dissertation hand-in.
Really like these morphs from abstract shapes into Agostina designed by Michael Cina, although, the sounds/music is really annoying.
“This is Agostina” is a video to promote the font Agostina which was designed by Michael Cina. Michael Paul Young made this animation, he founded YouWorkForThem together with Michael Cina.”
Varvara, Elliot and Myself are exhibiting some letterpress work at the LCC in a few months time at The Changing Face of Letterpress exhibition.

“The Changing Face of Letterpress is an exhibition of staff and student work from the London College of Communication, seeking to challenge the boundaries of Letterpress within the current design climate whilst drawing from the rich printing history of the college. The exhibition explores the changing role of Letterpress within design education, from a typographical teaching tool to a medium that is igniting process-driven work from students within the School of Graphic Design.”
Varvara, myself and Elliot went to a One Dot Zero workshop a few weeks ago. When leaving we saw this installation. Amazing.
“Multi-media art and design studio troika have been commissioned by onedotzero to create an installation as part of a live multi-sensory identity representing ‘onedotzero adventures in motion’, and the theme ‘citystates’.
it will draw on the layers that form a city, playing with typography and abstract poetry. this hybrid art / communications / design project will take the form of a modern digital zoetrope: a cylindrical tower displaying a multitude of audio-visual outputs to stunning effect.
